The Challenge.
Applying to college or graduate school is complicated, competitive, and often expensive. Students are expected to navigate school lists, standardized tests, essays, recommendation letters, and interviews—often with little or no guidance. For first-generation students, the eldest in their families, or those from low-income backgrounds, these hurdles are even steeper. Far too often, bright and capable students miss out on opportunities simply because they don’t have the support to navigate the process.
Our Aim.
Summit United is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides free, virtual mentorship to students applying to college and graduate school. We pair each scholar with dedicated mentors and coaches who walk alongside them through every step of the process—building school lists, drafting essays, preparing for interviews, and staying motivated along the way.
Our goal is simple: to make higher education accessible to every student, regardless of background. With the right guidance and encouragement, we believe every scholar can reach their potential and pursue the opportunities they deserve. At Summit United, we are committed to helping students climb toward the summit of higher education—one success story at a time.
